RONALDO RUIZ (b. Manila, Philippines, 1971)
Ronaldo Ruiz studied fine arts at the University of the East, Philippines. He was awarded by the Metrobank Foundation for Continuing Excellence and Service (ACES) of 2009, Cultural Center of the Philippines as one of the Thirteen Artist Awardees of 2003 in recognition of his significant contribution to the expanding language and evolutionary dynamics of the Philippine Contemporary Art, University of the East as a Distinguish Alumnus and Achievers of 2007 and 2006.
Two time winner of the Philip Morris Philippines Art Awards in 2000 and 1997. Ruiz was also an artist in residence at Artesan Gallery + Studio in Singapore, 2009 and Artspace in Sydney Australia, 1999 and has presented his artworks in 18 one-man exhibitions often incorporating painting, installation and performance into his show.
He has also participated in group exhibitions and action art events in the Philippines and abroad, including Australia, Canada, China, Dubai, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Macao, Myanmar, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Yugoslavia, among others. His works are also collected by the Singapore and Macau Art Museum.
Ruiz is the artistic director of Tupada Action and Media Art (TAMA) an international action art event held every year in the Philippines.

RICHARD SORIANO LEGASPI (b. Manila, Philippines, 1980)
Richard Soriano Legaspi was a fine arts major who studied advertising at the University of the East in Caloocan, Philippines. He also graduated at the prestigious Asian Film Academy, an educational film directing program of Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea and studied filmmaking under renowned directors like Mohsen Makhmalbaf and Pen-Ek Ratanaruang. He represented the Philippines in different International Film Festivals in Dubai, Vienna, Warsaw, Pusan, Asiana in Seoul, Pyongyang, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Germany, Budapest, Naoussa and Patras Greece, Estonia, UK, Poland, Netherlands and Italy. He received awards and citation with his remarkable short films like “Ambulancia” starring Alan Paule and nor Domingo, “Hand-Painted Feathers” with Bembol Roco and Katherine Luna, a Korean co-produced film entitled “Escape to Nothingness” and his first multi-awarded full-length film “Paano Ko Sasabihin” starring ABS-CBN rising stars Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales.
He’s the first Asian filmmaker nominated in World Off Film Festival in Warsaw, Poland and first Filipino director invited to the International Open-Air Film Festival Weiterstadt in Germany last 2009, the same year he won the Miglior Montaggio Award for his film Ambulancia in Verano, San Gio, Italy after its exhibition at the Cinemanila International Film Festival, Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival and competition at the Quisumbing-Escandor Film Festival for Health and Viva PBO Digitales 2.
Richard recently received a Special Jury Prize, Audience Choice Award and Best in Editing Citation at the Cinema One Originals Film Festival 2009 for “Paano Ko Sasabihin” and was nominated for the Muhr Awards for Excellence at the Dubai International Film Festival 2010 for his short film “Kinulayang Kiti.”
